If you are putting a clutch in your Cooper we always recommend replacing this guide tube. Many times we see the throwout bearing make a wear mark on it and that can make the clutch movement notchy, or cause the clutch to not work very well. If you can see in the pic the transmission input shaft seal is also part of the guide tube as they come as one piece.
