Automatic Transmission Shifter Emergency Release Cable for 2007-2014 R55 R56 R57 R58 R59 R60 R61 with Asian auto trans. This little cable attaches to the shift lever mechanism and is used if the battery dies or there is some failure with your MINI that won't allow you to shift into neutral. If you have a failure or dead battery you pull up the shift lever boot and pull this cable to release the lever and shift into neutral. We find these broken all the time and it's important to have it working to be able to move the car in an emergency situation.
