Brake Stiffening Bushing Set for 2002-2006 R50, R53 MINI Cooper and Cooper S and 2005-2008 R52 MINI Cooper Convertible. This is one of the biggest bang for the buck brake mods if not the biggest. These simple bushings replace the stock rubber bushings on the stock brake calipers. Replacing these bushings will alllow the driver to have a much firmer feel as the brakes will have less slope and act faster. These also help the pads to wear more even.

Brake bushings
This is my second set of brass bushings from WMW. I tried to save the bushings from my previous calipers but they were seized in the caliper and one broke trying to remove it. Install is really easy and straight forward. As long as you keep the pins greased up, you won't have any issues with the brakes sticking. I live in CT where we have to deal with winter and road salt. I would re grease the pins about every three months. Really easy job to do. These pins also make a HUGE improvement on brake pedal feel. The benefits far outweigh the maintenance for me.
