If you want to add a real coolant or water tempature gauge to your MINI then you need to install a sending unit in the cooling system for it. This simple machined aluminum adapter replaces the plastic adapter in the coolant hose an allows you to install a sensor in it. This is the ideal way to install a coolant temp sending unit as it doesn't require any cutting to install.
