The valve cover gaskets aren't hard to change, but a bad leaking valve cover gasket can leak onto the header and burn. WMW has also seen the valve cover gaskets leak oil onto the supercharger belt tensioner and ruin rubber bushings on the tensioner causing it to fail. So replace it before it gets too bad.
