Lower Steering Column Shaft and Joints for 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper, R53 Cooper S, and 2005-2008 R52 Cabrio. If you have notchy steering or dead spots in the steering this can very well be the cause. We've also found these can be noisey. All these problems are caused by the U joints on the ends of this lower steering column shaft wearing.
