Outside Temperature Sensor for 2007-2013 R55 R56 R57 R58 R59 R60 R61.
If your MINI is reading -40 deg on the outside temp readout this sensor could be the cause. When it fails or rubs against something the computer defaults to -40 as a readout. This sensor is mounted behind the front bumper cover. Also if you have -40 the A/C will NOT work.
