Rear Hatch Strut for 2002-2006 R50 MINI Cooper and R53 Cooper S Hardtop. If your rear hatch is falling on your head these rear hatch struts are probably worn out. Sometimes also called boot shocks. The seals fail and loose the gas pressure over time making them no longer support the hatch when it is open.
