Transmission Shifter Cable Bracket for 2002-2004 R50 MINI Cooper non S with Midlands manual transmission. This shift cable bracket or mount is mounted to the top of the 5 speed manual trans and is where the shift cables mount to the trans. You see there is one pivot lever that is on it to activate the lever coming out of the trans. We've found as these wear they commonly make it hard to get the car in Reverse. Also we've found that the battery can leak acid on the original ones and melts them. Originally they were black, but these newer versions are now this white plastic which we think is a little harder so hopefully they will last longer.
