Brake Fluid Power Bleeder. MINI Cooper and BMW always recommend changing the brake fluid in your car every 2 years no matter how many miles you drive. Brake fluid is hydrophobic. This means the fluid is designed to absorb water. This is a good thing as it keeps water from forming in the brake system and either rusting from the inside out, or boiling and giving brake fade. On your daily driver or just street car the brake fluid needs to be changed every 2 years as it can no longer absorb moisture after that amount of time causing issues. If you have a track or AutoX car you need to change it every 6 months and use a high temp fluid as you will have a higher demand on the fluid, and need it to have the highest boiling point possible. This power brake bleeder making bleeding the brakes or the clutch on your MINI a one man job. To use you simply fill the tank about 1/2 full, then connect the line with the special cap fitting the the brake fluid reservoir. Then pump the handle on the tank to build up pressure. This forces the fluid from the tank through the line and into your hydraulic system to pressurize the entire system. Now this is the same as having someone hold their foot on the brake pedal. So without help you can now just go around the MINI and crack open the bleeder screws until you the fluid comes out or you have no more air. Then just disconnect the power bleeder and top up the fluid as necessary to finish. Sold as one power brake bleeder with hose and MINI brake cap fitting.
